Sizing a dog coat
How to select the perfect size for your dog?
Small dogs, and even some larger ones (especially with short hair, advanced age, puppies, or during sickness) do need this extra protection in a colder environment.
The first thing to do before buying a coat is to determine the appropriate size for your dog.
The coat or the vest fits well, if it covers the back from the front legs to the tail and follows the body comfortably.
We need precise sizes in order to create the perfect clothing for your dog. Please measure your dog while standing on the floor using a measuring tape.
BACK LENGTH: from the base of the neck (withers) to the base of the tail.
NECK CIRCUMFERENCE: Measure the circumference at the base of the neck (withers) where it is the widest
CHEST CIRCUMFERENCE: Measure it at the widest part of the chest (usually right behind the front legs)
WAIST: Measure it where the body is the thinnest (in front of the back legs). In case of a male dog, you must measure it in front of the penis.
UNDERLINE: From the base of the neck to the waistline. In case of a male dog please leave a little room for peeing.
Distance between the front legs: (not indicated on the picture): Please measure first using your hands: how many fingers do fit comfortably in between the legs? Then measure the distance with a tape on your own hands
